Taking a Detour
While navigating an automobile route, you can use
detours to avoid obstacles ahead of you, such as
construction zones.
While navigating, select
> Detour.
About Trafc
Notice
Garmin is not responsible for the accuracy or
timeliness of the trafc information.
Trafc information may not be available in all
areas or countries.
A trafc receiver is included in some packages.
It is built into the vehicle power cable. The trafc
receiver and device must be in data range of a
station transmitting trafc data to receive trafc
information. You do not need to activate the
subscription included with your trafc receiver.
When you are receiving trafc information, a trafc
icon appears on the map page. The trafc icon
(
) changes color to indicate the severity of
trafc conditions on your route or on the road you
are currently traveling.

Positioning the Trafc Receiver
You can position the trafc receiver power cable
for optimal trafc reception.

Uncoil the cable.

Place the middle of the cable in a location with
an unobstructed view of the sky, such as the
dash.
NOTE: Do not rest the cable on the cable plug
that connects to the vehicle power source.
Do not place the cable on the oor or
underneath other objects.
Digital TV
You can stream digital TV on your device.
Before you can watch digital mobile TV, the
device must be in a Digital Video Broadcasting for
Terrestrial devices (DVB-T) coverage area. For
more information, go to www.dvb.org.
Setting up the Antennas
NOTE: The external antennas are intended to
improve the TV reception. They will not increase
the number of channels available.
You may need to extend the internal antenna or
attach external antennas to receive channels.
